In one of the coldest places in Russia—and possibly the world—Okuda San Miguel created “Ancestral Retro Mirage”, a four-meter-high sculpture of a geometric, multicolored head that stands in stark contrast to the snowy white landscape. Its creation was inspired by the traditions and mythology of the region (Yakutia), which are strongly linked to the climate.
