Inspired by his readings of the rules governing the aesthetics and symbolisms of different cultures, Okuda San Miguel created “No Religions in the Sky”, an exploration of the symbols of Christianity. The interpretation shows the artist’s admiration for the capacity of the aesthetic of the sacred to evoke existential longings. It also connects with contemporary visual codes to make it understandable, or, at least, justifiable.
